Although he loves my cooking — this post isn’t about food.
This is about Top of the Morning: the book he wrote about morning TV.
He’s been working his tush off on this book for almost two years now — sometimes while we were trying to enjoy a nice lunch.
Sometimes I’d find him editing drafts on the couch when I woke up for work at 3:30 in the morning.
He was even interviewing George Stephanopoulos on the phone moments after we signed the lease on our new apartment.
Then — after months of reporting and writing — he said he was done. So we celebrated!
He lied.
So I dragged him out and forced him to do his very first ice luge.
Then he really handed it in — and we really celebrated.
