I also had major foot surgery a year ago and all of these obstacles made me remember how it was all over again. “When I left the house for the first time to go for my follow-up appointment with the doctor, and I realized I didn’t have enough strength to use crutches: I cried. I was exhausted.” in particular made me laugh only because it’s so true and no one can know until you’ve been there It’s as if you’ve had the biggest workout of your life and it lasted less than 5 minutes.

It’s going to be a long road still but all I can say is you can do it! Walking without pain is the best gift you can give yourself. Take it slow and congrats!
