Be sure while going up the coast you stop at every jam and fruit stand you come across because it’s incredible jam. There’s great fish tacos on the pier in Santa Barbara. Katy’s Place in Carmel has 16 kinds of Eggs Bennie, including versions that will suit your needs. Redd in Yountville is crazy good, lots of fish options. I’ve heard Sausalito is a really great stop. If you can get over to some of the smaller coastal towns in Oregon they’re all adorable. In Seattle everything to eat is amazing. Even though it’s touristy PIke’s Place is a real treat and the produce will blow your mind. My best advice is stop often and take pictures, turn around if you have to. It’s such a fun drive to go up the coast, and it changes drastically from day to day. You’ll never forget it. Enjoy! Kristin

Cielitos in Santa Barbara is a must for amazing, seafood-focused Mexican food; lots of other delicious dishes there, too. If you like sushi, Arigato and Sakana are good. Crushcakes and D’Angelos bakery for breakfast. Have a terrific trip!
